Body Remedy is committed to protecting privacy and personal information which may be shared by individuals whilst using this website. We will not sell your data or share it with any third parties without your permission.

The purpose of this document is to explain:

Personal information which is provided by you directly is most likely for the following:

  • Signing up to our newsletter/mailing list

  • Booking a class or workshop

When signing up to our newsletter we ask for your name; email address; and confirmation that you are a black person or person of colour who identifies as a women and/or non-binary.

When signing up for a class or workshop we ask for your name, email address, emergency contact phone number; confirmation that you are a black person or person of colour who identifies as a women and/or non-binary; and confirmation that you meet the age requirements of the class/workshop. This information is collected and stored via a third-party processor (Squarespace) and is then held in our systems.

We also receive information indirectly through you:

  • Using our website

  • Signing up to our newsletter / mailing list

When you use our website, we collect your IP address which is anonymised and then used for analytics processing. This anonymised information is used for things like accessing the website’s reach and performance of content.

By using this website, you agree to our use of cookies. This means agreeing to receive small files onto your device. These files can improve personalised user experience by enabling services to recognise your device.

Our newsletter/mailing list is delivered through a third-party processor (MailChimp). MailChimp collects statistical data newsletter email openings and clicks. For more information, please see their privacy notice. To remove yourself from our mailing list at any time, you can click the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of our newsletters, at the bottom of our website or by emailing us.

We will not sell, trade or share our mailing list with other organisations. We will not sell or trade your email address with other organisations and we will not share your email address with other organisations without your permission.

The lawful basis we rely on for collecting information is your consent and legitimate interest.

We will hold your information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity.

You have the right to view, amend and/or delete the personal information which we have kept in our systems. To do so, email your request to info@mybodyremedy.com. If you believe any information we hold about yourself may be inaccurate, such as an email address or name update, please do also email us at the aforementioned address.
